The Good Patrons of 750 Words

This is day 1523 of my streak of writing here every single day. I can hardly believe it. Back in 2016, a friend started talking about this site. All I could think was, I don’t need a website to get me to write. Eventually, though, she wore me down and I tried it. And I’ve been here every day since.

I didn’t know that I had the discipline to write that regularly. But here I am, having written over 1,269,000 words! That’s over a million! My husband keeps asking how many books do I have in all those words!

I didn’t think I would last long at all on this site. But it was the thrill of the badges, and now I have 19 of them. But the time between badges gets longer, the longer I write here. I checked earlier this year and there are only 5 badges that I haven’t earned. Sooo, I decided that this month, May, I would earn the NaNo badge. That’s 50,000 words in one month! I’m on track to make it, too! With just under 20,000 words remaining after today, this 18th day of May.

I am really grateful for this site for the discipline and the encouragement it has given me. Which was obviously always in me, just needed an accountability system!
