I came to this site in a moment of crisis in grad school. I suffered under writer’s block in the middle of my dissertation, a time when writer’s block was not an acceptable option or excuse. These daily pages have not cleared my mind, exactly, but have rather helped me translate what’s in my mind into terms that others might understand. I’ve learned that it’s not selfish to close myself up in a room and write. I’ve given myself permission to be productive.
