The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Eric William Green

1 cup

I have been writing Morning Pages since I discovered The Artist’s Way more than a decade ago. Before then (in my emo days of high school) I kept a journal, but did not write consistently. Morning Pages have helped me immensely. Even after periods of not doing them, there is a reason I kept coming back. They help clear the clutter in the brain. They are the fastest way I have found to get to the root of any problem, to identify how you really feel about something. They are better than therapy.
I had always written them in composition notebooks. I currently have a stack of a couple dozen that I am not sure what to do with (open to suggestions here.) When I found 750 Words I was looking for a way to track my fiction writing similar to NaNoWriMo. I was not looking to move Morning Pages to a new format. But I was charmed by the site and decided to give it s whirl, convinced that I would not like doing Morning Pages electronically. I was hooked after I got my second badge. And I haven’t missed a day since. Having the data and checkboxes add a visual aspect to keeping on track that I didn’t know I was missing. It has been a wonderful experience and I am delighted that so many other people seem to be finding 750 Words just as useful.
Give it a go. You have nothing to lose by trying it on. If it doesn’t fit, try something else.
