The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Naseem Jamnia

1 cup

I’ve always been a big fan of writing every day, but was too sporadic in the practice. I opened an account with 750words years ago, and loved that I could go and freely write in a stream-of-consciousness style. I found it relaxing.

At some point, I had a 17 day streak that I broke—and I think a part of me gave up. Sometimes I came back and wrote stuff. Sometimes I wrote in Word or Scrivener. Then last month, my boyfriend read The Artist’s Way and I remembered the feeling of success upon reaching 750 words again. I took the May challenge. I completed it. Now, it’s part of my morning routine to finish my words before I leave the house. It’s left my mind and thoughts clear, and made me more committed to writing my nonfiction (and subsequently updating my essay series).

Thanks, Buster and Kellianne! 35 days and going strong!
