I have written over a million words on this website over the past two years (422 day streak and counting). Having somewhere to go every day and a consequence if I don’t keep the routine has helped me write things I would have never expected to write, to finish one novel and to write the first 1/3rd of another, and to write words when I thought I didn’t have any left. Having some place to write every day has become invaluable to my emotional health and to the development of writing skills. Thank you for this wonderful place; the statistics in particular are fascinating and amusing.
