The Good Patrons of 750 Words

I have dreamed of writing a picture book since 2006. However, I lost my focus on fiction writing when I began writing a professional book in 2009. My book, Day by Day: Refining Writing Workshop Through 180 Days of Reflective Practice, came out in November 2010 right before I gave birth to my daughter. Once she came along, I had another excuse to push off writing fiction since I had so much to do. However, I recently realized that I can no longer lose my focus if I want to publish children’s picture books. Therefore, 750 Words has been an excellent tool for me to GET WRITING again! I have been using my 750 Words to develop and write two separate stories that have been rolling around in my head for awhile. I’m excited about the possibilities now that I’m writing fiction again.
