The Good Patrons of 750 Words

Perhaps a setting that would allow the users to set their word-count threshold a little higher? The baseline would of course be 750 words but it would be nice to add words (say 250 words at a time) like a weightlifter adding additional weights as he gets stronger…

There is nothing to stop us writing more at the moment of course, but I think the ability to raise the bar for oneself in this manner would very much be in the spirit of the site.
