The Good Patrons of 750 Words
A Note of Inspiration from Katt13
I have belonged to 750words.com since 2010, but in the first six years or so, my writing was very hit or miss. I used it as morning pages for the first 90 days or so; I was unemployed when I started, and I like the routine. Then I started a new job, and got very distracted and tired, and didn’t write very consistently.
I would start, lose track, and stop. This went on for ages, plus, there was the six month period where I wrote longhand in a notebook, and couldn’t seem to add time to come here.
Now I’m retired; I moved to a new town, and the change was a bit boggling, especially at first. So I started back here, and now I think I have 590 days in a row, though I wouldn’t swear to that. It’s turned into the best habit I have.
I babble, write about my day, write about plans I have, mostly mundane. I plan cleaning, outings, projects, and walks. I write about frustrations and things that make me happy; the cats, the beach, the weather, how I felt when I got up in the morning, what I ate.
I may write something of consequence some day, or not. It’s all OK. Whatever I write makes me feel better, and puts things into perspective.
Thank you so much, 750 Words!
