The Good Patrons of 750 Words

750words has been my therapist for the past 18 months. I’ve had hundreds of chance to analyse my thoughts, share them with myself, and share them for the future me, one day when I ask myself why I did what I did during this time.

Somewhere during the process, after 63 years, I realise that much of my fears and anxieties stem from feeling abandoned when my father died 56 years ago. My neighbour put this in perspective when we spoke about her husband dying and my divorce. She said “divorce is much harder than a partner dying. Your partner doesn’t die to leave you”.

You guys rock.
