Yesterday I broke my streak. For the second time since I started.. I wrote from 29.08.2017 – 27.12.2020 which are 1218 days. Over three years. I can’t even imagine things three years from now, should I reach that point again.
The first time I broke my streak after 435 days, because I was too stressed. This time I broke it because I was too relaxed. I started and simply forgot to continue.
It’s not as bad as last time. I wrote a lot of things I’m proud of in these 1218 days. It’s 2020, there could have been worse things this year happening to me than this. This just wounds my personal pride.
For a moment today I thought I could take a break. Start writing again on the 1st January instead of today, but I can’t. It’s such a integral part of my life by now, I don’t want to take a break. I’m not always motivated. Sometimes I write some stupid things ten minutes before midnight. But I write and I’m really glad I do. So hopefully here’s to another 1218 days or even more!
