The Good Patrons of 750 Words

I found this site early – exactly 9 years and ten days ago I wrote my first Words here. Thanks to the amazing archive system I can see what, where and who I was back then – using the site to rehearse lines for plays, record dreams, download mental meanderings and blow out the cobweb infested reaches of my cognitive causeways. Since then I have completed my bachelor of creative writing degree, had three stories published and somehow become a spoken word performer, an activist song writer and a professional story teller along the way. And I’m only getting started! I have 750 words to thank for keeping me disciplined (from time to time) and for being my silent, non-judgemental writing partner across this crazy decade of literary indulgences. Big Thanks to Buster and Kellianne for keeping it going all these years. Same to everyone who donates and participates. I look forward to my continued visits to this amazing platform, as do the many, many people I have sent here over the years. Here’s hoping the site remains a force for the written good for countless pages to come…cos I’m gonna need it to finish this year of honours, then maybe the PhD that follows. Keep writing people, cos writers are thinkers and writers are feelers…both are desperately needed on this beautiful ball we call home!
