The Good Patrons of 750 Words

I have been a member of 750 words for years..and years…so far back I can’t remember how long ago it was I came across it. I had been trying Julie Cameron’s daily pages and they never came out for me. But 750 words spoke to me in a different way and I signed up. Over the years, I’ve gone months without writing a word as well as months of writing regularly. At the beginning of this year I decided it was time to make it a habit so I started keeping track of my stats – days I wrote, days I wrote 750 words or more, word count for the month. And here are my stats for Jan – May: Jan: 8 days; 5,129 words, 3 days > 750; 15 points
Feb: 13 days; 5,864 words; 4 days > 750; 21 points.
March: 16 days; 12,454 words; 8 days > 750; 40 points.
April: 30 days; 38,382 words; 27 days > 750; 229 points.
May: 31 days; 32,290 words; 31 days > 750; 270 points.
Max streak: 55 days.
I took on the challenge to do every day in May and promised myself a steak dinner if I did – it’s booked for tomorrow.
I love this site – I feel welcome here, feel I belong, feel no pressure to do one thing or another.
So, thanks Kellianne and Buster for having it here and keeping it going. I’m proud to be a member and a patron and it reinforces my beliefs about how many good people there are in the world and how big a difference small things make.
