The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Tanna

1 cup

I just hit 250,000 words here at 750Words.com. Over the past 10 months, I’ve regularly had the opportunity (ha ha) to come to terms with the quantity and quality (or lack thereof) of the actual content I currently have within my head and soul. That’s part of the process for me, so I go with it.

I’ve created some amazing things in my life through this discipline and commitment and whatever it leads me to find out about me. Good, bad, indifferent.

As a result, I’ve developed different ways to use this writing time and space. One method is to work with and journal on affirmations. On days I do that, the after-writing analysis deems my writing to be “Self-Important.” (Really, my work with affirmations has been to battle feelings of being less worthy than others.)

Anyone else here work with affirmations and find that designation curious? Why is there not, say, a “self-flagellating” designation? I’d love to hear what others think and if anyone else works with affirmations. Cheers and Happy Writing!
