The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Lisa Beijnes

Title that entry!

Already after a month’s worth of entries it starts becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate one entry from the next.

We don’t quite remember what date we wrote it on, we might have started out with some random rambling about whatever, making the actual piece of text we’re looking for even harder to find, or we might have forgotten what the page had really been about altogether.

Luckily, there is a feature that makes finding the entry we are looking for easier called Search & Export, which allows us to find entries by keywords and shows all the entries related.

What I think would make this even easier however, is if we would have the option to title the entries themselves.

Even just a few words that summarize what an entry is about can help significantly to find it back later. Your mind just tends to remember things better like that. Having to come up with a representative title helps you to process the entry itself some and that is part of why it will become easier to find it back in the future too.

A title is easier to remember than the date it was written on simply because it has more to do with the content of the entry itself. Which is why I think it would be good if it was a possibility.

It’s still really not perfect, but yeah, I think it could really help.

I’m thinking it would look like a separate spot/box on the writing page above the main text in which you could fill in a title if you so chose to.
And that if you hold the mouse over the little X’s indicating the days on which you wrote something, there would be a title visible alongside the date and word count.
And of course also on the Search & Export page when looking for an entry.

Just everywhere where you would normally only see the date really. ^^’

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I’m curious for any reply! Have a nice day! X3
