The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Cara Hartley

1 cup

I don’t have time to write 750 words a day, much though I’d love to be able to. I’m in the process of becoming self-employed, and it is very time-consuming becoming my own boss. However, even if I’m only able to carve out one or two days a week to write, it can help to have a prompt.
I refuse to beat myself up about not meeting the sort of goal that others may be able to set, i.e. 750 words per day. I’m quite good at beating myself up, and I’m trying to become less good at it. 52 years of being my own worst enemy is quite enough.
This is a good tool and I support anything which helps people to be able to utilize their creativity. I feel that it should be used in the manner which is going to help one most, whether that be to write 750 words per day every day, or whether it be to write 750 words sporadically as life may allow.
With creativity, there should be no concept of “winners” and “losers.” There are only winners.
