The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Maureen Ross Gemme

Today would have been my 101 day of writing in a row but I missed a day (20 days ago) because there was not internet at the hotel I was staying at and then I got distracted with the day. Maybe it’s a silly thing but I really want that badge! I’ve written 235 days since I started in mid Sept last year and I feel so good about that. One of these days I’ll have 100 in a row. I absolutely love my morning routine which involves meditation, writing, exercise and then reading (aloud) at the breakfast table with my partner. I added the writing to clear my mind so that I could meditate better and after a while I switched the order of things because I was finding that my meditation sometimes created topics to write about. I love the writing because it is sort of a continuation of the meditation because it is automatic and I never know quite what is going to come out. Sometimes it’s amazing and always it ends with gratitude. This daily exercise has proven to me that taking baby steps every day towards a goal is the way to achieve anything. I’ve written close to 200,000 words already! That is the equivalent of a couple of books. I will write a book one day, perhaps soon, but in the meantime, I will practice with writing 750 words a day. Thanks so much for this site. It is a gift and I tell people about it all the time. I feel so accomplished after doing it. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
