The Good Patrons of 750 Words

Over a year ago (in September) a participant in a spiritual writing workshop told me about his membership in 750 words. He said that it kept him committed to writing on a daily basis. That may have been the most significant thing I took away from that workshop! That night I went home, looked up your website and began my commitment to write every day. You can’t be a wannabe writer forever without doing the work, right?

Years ago I read Julia Cameron’s book and kept up a journal of sorts for a time, but Life got in the way and I put it aside. I’ve used a typewriter for so long that handwriting for me is now a slow and laborious process. Typing my entry for the day makes it so much easier (and faster) to accomplish the task and stay on track. (Well, to be honest, there have been a few slip ups along the way when I forgot to write. I had to suck it up, dust myself off, and start over as the colorless egg.)
