The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Member Stephanie A

1 cup
Preserve line breaks

When one types into the daily page on 750words, one can of course press enter to create a line break. But when the day is saved and one looks back on the writing, single-enter line breaks are ignored (put into one continuous line); only double-enter paragraph breaks remain. For poets and others concerned with line breaks, this is problematic because it “deletes” an aspect of composition for those who are concerned with how the text lays on the page. For prose, it’s no problem. But as a hybrid writer I find myself vexed by this aspect of the auto-save feature. Thank you for making a wonderful website that I’ve happily (and productively) integrated into my writing practice!
