I am learning it isn’t about the streak but the habit of writing that is important. It’s progress not perfection. I had a baby a couple of months ago and like a lot of new moms went through some depression and anxiety. Journaling has been my “me time”, my resting place, my place to sort through rational and irrational thoughts. It’s my place to connect to God through conversation. It’s my safe place. As I sort through old stuff in my closet I am forever grateful that the many words I have written on this site take up no room in my home whatsoever.
