The Good Patrons of 750 Words

Although I have been with 750 Words since May 2011, and have over 2 million words here, I have never managed a huge streak . . . until now. On Christmas Eve I hit day 1000 in my current streak. I was so happy that I finally did it!

I have used this space to work through emotions, to complain about life, and very often to brainstorm for short stories, novels, and poetry. Today I worked through the death of a friend on December 23rd. So sudden, such a huge shock? Why was I angry about this? I mean I was sad, of course. But I wrote until I figured out why anger was part of my feelings. And writing about it really helped me to get a lot of what has been bottled up in me for three days out. Thank you for giving me the space, the opportunity, and the reason for doing the writing that helped me start to wrap my head around this tragic event.
