The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Barrie Trinkle

2 cups

For the past 7-8 years I have dipped into 750 Words…sometimes. There was one whole month where I wrote every day, and many months when I didn’t write at all. I’m now on my 16th consecutive day, wrestling with all of the family issues that have come up during quarantine, and it’s been really valuable to have a place to pick it apart and then look at it all as a whole. I get the idea of writing the rage out in longhand and tearing it up, but that wouldn’t serve me right now. 750 Words is my place for reflection, for revisiting my past thoughts and feelings, for seeing how far I’ve come. I hope this streak lasts a lot longer, but if not, 750 Words (unlike me) has no judgment—I can always come back.
