The Good Patrons of 750 Words
A Note of Inspiration from Member Lina Boatman
I’ve been away for over a month for a variety of reasons. I kept missing days, even days where I’d written things: I was forgetting to paste my words in from GoogleDocs. So, instead of requesting a fix in my streak every two weeks, I thought I’d take a break instead.
And what do you know: I wasn’t writing at the same pace as I used to. I wasn’t writing at all, most days. Just fits and spurts, here and there. I’m getting winded before I hit 1k.
I’m nearly at my one-year anniversary of NaNo15, where I wrote a total of 102k in a single month of prose, and I’m not in any shape to try and do that again. So, I knew I had to come back.
I’ve decided to use all my cups for this note, and signed the contract to write every day in November. I miss the magic of feeling accomplished every day no matter where I am or what I’m up to, because it helps my mood and helps me feel like I can be a Real Writer™. Thanks for being an easy place to come back to, 750. :) Here’s to getting back in shape for the marathon that is NaNoWriMo!
