I managed to write 599 days in a row. Then, on the day of my Master’s hooding ceremony…I forgot to write. Rather than beat myself up for being a dumb-dumb who forgot, I chose to remind myself that I am an imperfect human being. It is humbling and probably really good for my ego to be a penguin again. Today is day 6. I’m realizing it is less about the streak and more about the daily return to the page. So, if my missed day can turn into something useful- I hope that it encourages you to begin again, even if you accidentally broke your streak.
