It gives me a safe, private way to write each day, to get my thoughts out, without worrying about anyone else in the family finding my notes, so I don’t have to worry about how it might look to someone else, so I stop editing before I start. (Also the tracking reminds me I’ve actually done something, even when I start to feel like maybe I haven’t. It’s lovely.)
