I am a writer—at least, I keep telling myself I am—but what I mostly am is an editor. I can say with no false modesty that I’m actually a pretty good editor. Unfortunately, it’s a hard thing to turn off when I’m writing. 750Words is helping me learn to do that. I appreciate the many ease-of-use features you’ve implemented: the word count popup, the linguistic analysis, the statistics. That makes it sound like I’m still obsessing like an editor, but actually having everything at my fingertips helps me relax. I don’t have to hand-count anything, don’t have to reinvent the wheel, don’t have to reread and criticize myself. I can just settle into the writing process. Thanks for that.
