The Good Patrons of 750 Words

I wrote a lot when I was in high school, and it was a big part of my identity, and my social group. Then I went to college, and while I spent a lot of time writing, a lot of it was academic- intellectually rich, but dry. I had a really hard time motivatign myself to write for just myself.
Then I graduated, and I wasn’t doing any writing at all- until I decidded that, since I had no end of free time, I would do nanowrimo, and I woudl use 750words to help keep me writign every day, even if I didn’t make word limit.

Now it’s February, and I’ve written for 115 days in a row. I’m not always writing as well as I would like, and a lot of days it’s just journling. But I am writing, and it’s made a big difference in reclaiming part of my life.
