A Note of Inspiration from Michael Drake

1 cup

Days go differently when I write first thing in the morning. Whether it’s having a higher energy level, sticking with my commitments, dealing with a difficult coworker, or just having more patience in general, the daily practice of laying out the path ahead of you through a stream of consciousness entry is my favorite way of “setting the table” before going about my day.

And they say you need to write for 15-20 minutes at least to get psychological benefits from writing, but as as “speedy typist” at about 7-10 minutes per journal entry, I can still say I’ve noticed the benefits! So I’d encourage my fellow “fast-entry” writes to keep it up! Best wishes in 2013!
