I’m a very competitive person. To this end, I win NaNoWriMo because I see other people beating me on word count and I can’t stand it. It got to such a point that last year I finished my 50K in eight days – my fastest yet. Then I didn’t write at all for the rest of the month. But this site has helped me write every day, because I must get the space bird badge!
