The Good Patrons of 750 Words

A Note of Inspiration from Oren Litwin

Change word-count handling for vacation days

At present, a vacation day is credited for 750 words. This causes two problems at least. First, it messes up the cumulative-words recordkeeping for those of us who are anal.

Second, if you get the chance to write on a scheduled vacation day anyway, you end up burning a couple of minutes dealing with warning messages from the system, as it updates your word count and perceives it as losing existing progress. This also messes up our stats.

The upshot is that crediting a vacation day with phantom words is a decent shortcut for implementation, but it’s time for something more permanent.
