The Good Patrons of 750 Words

I have been writing since I was a mere 6 years old, but I’ve never been very consistent. Oftentimes if I wasn’t feeling inspired to write something in particular, I wouldn’t write anything at all. I did keep a journal fairly regularly for a period of about a year and a half, but even through high school and college, and now beyond, I’ve never been in the habit of writing daily. I love and appreciate this site for giving me the challenge and the incentive to write every day. I’m not a terribly competitive person, but I do love earning points and badges and there is something strangely addicting about seeing all those X’s in a row for days completed. I’ve been at this for about six and a half weeks now and I can’t see myself stopping any time soon. I love logging in each day and writing about whatever I feel I need to and then going through the stats and learning more about myself and my capabilities. It’s also nice to know that I can push myself to write even when I don’t feel like it. Last weekend was particularly rough since I was out of town and at a family wedding, but the entire weekend was non-stop action, and more often than not I was practically falling asleep as I wrote my words, but write them I did. So thank you for creating this site and good luck to all the writers that may just be starting or I may have caught much later on in their journey.
