The Good Patrons of 750 Words

I’ve been writing for 64 days in a row now! A friend told me about 750 words; I started writing that night and I haven’t stopped since. 750 words has helped me to clear the clutter out of my head and just work on writing. It’s really been amazing.

In fact, it was writing every day here that convinced me that I could do NaNoWriMo this year—if I could write every day, surely I could buckle down for a while and get down the first 50k words in a novel. I see my flock badge today, which means that in the 64 days I’ve been here, I’ve written 100k words!!! I should hit my NaNo goal for November by the end of the week. Of course, then, there’s still the rest of the novel to write, but I’m thrilled that my first time truly competing in NaNo, I’ve been able to meet the word count requirement early!

Buster, this site is awesome. I can’t thank you enough for finding a way to inspire this writer to finally write what I want to write. I work as a technical writer, and dreary reality had started to crush my hopes of ever doing something more. 750 words has helped me find that spark again and convinced me that I really can do this. Thank you!
